An Icelandair stopover is when you get two destinations for the price of one. On your way across the Atlantic, you can stop in Iceland for up to 7 nights at no additional airfare. From October 2016 to March 31st 2017 Icelandair is adding a cool feature to the stopover program, the Icelandair Stopover Buddy Service! Hotel Edda Laugar in Sælingsdalur

Hotel Edda Laugar in Sælingsdalur

In my opinion the hotel is situated in a perfect location, if you are interested in exploring west Iceland to the fullest well as drive along route 60 and 62, Westfjords (e.g. explore the Barðaströnd, Rauðisandur or Látrabjarg). From Reykjavik direct to Hotel Edda Laugar in Sælingsdalur, the drive is about 2.5 hours (172km), easy and photogenic.
